The Theme of WUQWATR’s Annual Poster Contest
Celebrating Young Environmental Champions
WUQWATR invites students within our watersheds each spring to participate in our Annual Poster Contest. This contest is a unique platform for students in Grade 3-6 to showcase their creativity and passion for the environment, particularly focusing on the significance of watersheds and water conservation.
Your Chance to Shine!
Students in Grades 3-6 who attend a school within our watershed (which covers an area of almost 25,000 square kilometers from Humboldt to Regina and from Central Butte to Tyvan) are invited to participate in this exciting opportunity.
Dive into the world of wetlands and wildlife, let your imagination run wild, and you could be the next winner to bring a pizza party celebration to your class!
It’s more than a contest.
It’s a chance to learn, create, and make a positive impact on our environment.

The winner in each of the Grades 3-4 and Grades 5-6 divisions received a $50 gift certificate and a PIZZA PARTY for their class!

Students from schools in Bruno, Regina and Strasbourg have been recent winners.
To Enter
A separate cover sheet must accompany each entry with the following information:
- Student’s name, age, and grade
- Parent’s/Guardian’s name and contact information
- Teacher’s name and contact information
- Name and address of the school
Teachers may submit entries for their class or school but their package MUST BE be received by WUQWATR before the June 1 deadline and must contain an information sheet for each entry.

Madison, from Judge Bryant School in Regina, won the hearts of our judges with her artistic submission in the Grade 3/4 category of the 2022 contest.
2022 Grade 5/6 Winner: Rylee Cherepuschak
Rylee, from William Derby School in Strasbourg, stood out not only in the WUQWATR contest but also emerged victorious at the provincial level. Her achievement was celebrated with a Pizza Party for her entire class!
