Shoreline Naturalization Projects

Natural Edge Program

The Natural Edge Program is a way for landowners to restore their shorelines to their natural state through planting native vegetation. The overall objective of the project is to reduce soil erosion with the result of improving the water quality, the riparian area, the aquatic fishery, and wildlife habitat. The process starts by contacting WUQWATR at We will help you chose a site, develop a planting plan, access the necessary materials and help complete the project.

The project is partnered with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Watershed Canada and the Saskatchewan Association of Watersheds.
