Lanigan-Manitou Sub-Watershed

The Lanigan Manitou sub watershed contains Lanigan and  Dellwood Creeks and Little Manitou Lake.

Lanigan Creek flows from south of the City of Humboldt to  the north end of Last Mountain Lake.

Little Manitou Lake has no natural outlet and is has one of the  highest concentrations of minerals of any water body on the  planet.   People have traveled to the Lake for centuries because this high mineral  content is believed to have healing properties.

The Resort Village of Manitou Beach is home to a spa and recreational community.

The Lanigan Manitou watershed contains the Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan's

Lanigan mine, one of the largest in Canada.
