WSA 2014 Spring Runoff Outlook

Posted on April 9, 2014June 1, 2019

The spring runoff has yet to significantly begin through much of central and eastern Saskatchewan. The active runoff  areas are immediately north of an east – west line stretching from Eston to Moose Jaw through to Weyburn and Redvers, and includes the Moose Mountain Creek basin and the southern part of the Qu’Appelle River Basin.

In that active runoff area, the well above normal temperatures of the past few days resulted in flows somewhat higher than those which were forecasted for a usual rate of melt.
